Birchbox Beauty Box / February 2015

Mmm.. love is in the air! As we all know, Valentine’s day is knocking on our doors and this month Birchbox team has decided to dedicate theme of the boxes to all things we and they love. In my opinion, they managed to deliver everything I’ve wanted from Valentine’s Day box, as it has so many new to me brands and almost all of the products I’ve received are full-sized. This box is a perfect treat for every woman, there you can find skin-saving creams and serums, hair treatments and couple of make-up brands.

1. Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo – Sample Size 20ml. Full Size 20ml RRP £10.00

1. Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo – Sample Size 20ml. Full Size 20ml RRP £10.00 |BUY HERE|

I’m still can’t get enough of Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish cream, which became my must-have since I got it in one of my Birchboxes.  Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo contains a shine-boosting blend of Vitamin E, fruit extracts and shea butter. After my very first use my hair felt light, shiney, were easy to detangle after washing,  were smooth and super moisturised. This shampoo is also a perfect solution for those, who have very sensitive scalp and are allergic to many ingredients that well-known haircare brands have. Recommended.

2. theBalm Stainiac (Beauty Queen)

2. theBalm Stainiac (Beauty Queen) – Sample Size. Full size RRP £10 |BUY HERE|

I am a happy owner of theBalm ‘How ’bout them apple’  palette, so I knew this gel stain should be good, too. Apart from others stains I’ve tried before, that one doesn’t look like wine stain on your lip, it’s more like a natural flush. The color itself is very berryish and looks nice on cheeks, too. However, when you use it as a blush on cheekbones, I would recommend to blend it as soon as you applied it, as this gel dries very fast and you can end up having strange stripes and blotches all over your cheeks. Recommended.

3. London Butterflies Bath Salt Scrub. Travel Size. Full Size RRP £35 |BUY HERE|

3. London Butterflies Bath Salt Scrub. Travel Size. Full Size RRP £35 |BUY HERE|

Nothing feels better after very tough day, than a relaxing warm bath, especially when you also have a bath salt, which is also a scrub for your body. London Butterflies scrub contains Dead Sea salt that is a popular source for health and beauty, almond oil that renews the skin and locks in moisture. Recommended.

4. Cynthia Rowley Beauty Eyeliner in Silver. Full Size. RRP £11

4. Cynthia Rowley Beauty Eyeliner in Silver. Full Size. RRP £11 |BUY HERE|

I wasn’t aware of this brand before this month’s box. The pencil is super-creamy and glides on smoothly with minimal effort without tugging the skin. However, considering the bright silver pigment, I would recommend to use it in the corners of your eyes as a part of a night-out make-up. I’m not sure I will be able to use it during the day.  Recommended.

5. Wild About Beauty Rose Water Illuminating Serum. Full Size RRP £22 | BUY HERE |

5. Wild About Beauty Rose Water Illuminating Serum. Full Size RRP £22 | BUY HERE |

If you read my posts regularly you will probably know how excited I get over serums in all shapes and forms. This time I got even more excited, as this serum was full-sized and the price beat the price of box itself.

It’s a very nice serum to use, it has a light texture and it contains plenty antioxidants in ingredients, which is fabulous. I love the design of the packaging that looks very classy, yet simple. Definitely a treat for your skin. Recommended.
