Hello friends, I hope you are having an amazing Saturday! Mine was really crazy! So now I'm in London at my fist ever fashion week here, I was so overwhelmed yesterday that I really forgot to take some pictures of my outfit and street style photos, but today I managed to do this and I will keep doing this until the very last day of LFW. Everyday I will be writing a post about my day at LFW and share the favourite street style shots I made. Moreover, I will tell you about the shows and presentations I've attended and my opinion on them. This will be a hard work for me, but I believe this would be quite interesting to read for you :)
Summer is everything I can think of when I look out the window and see this gloomy UK weather and people layered in tons of clothes, freezing and rushing around. My heart has started to beat faster when I found out that well-known brand Swimswear365 announced the competition in collaboration with The Kempinski Hotel, which is located in the gorgeous Soma Bay (you can check this amazing resort HERE). The rules were so simple that I decided to give it a try. The only thing I had to do in order to participate in the contest is make a number of collages that will show how I will style and photograph a swimwear shoot while I'm there. I absolutely love this swimsuit by Swimswear365 and I think it perfectly matched the design of a SPA in the Somabay Hotel. I'm a huge fan of this porcelain print that was featured in a couple of major collections of the previous years. It gives me a very girly feeling, so I would style it with a touch of gold and white accessories, such as a turban and sunglasses. I would also paint my nails in white and use a hint of a lip gloss to make the face a bit more brighter.
“Some women choose to follow men, and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you're wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn't love you anymore.” ~ Lady GagaNowadays, women have same rights as men, that gives us an opportunity to do whatever we want with our lives. Emancipation became a crucial point in the whole history and gave women the voice they didn’t have for a very long time, making them an equally important part of a modern society as men. The #Bosslady trend is on its’ peak now, and this is just the perfect time for it, as there are so many successful business women out there and they definitely have to be celebrated and become role models for young generation. Personally, I don’t see anything bad in this trend amongst females to be career-oriented, as not all women are born to have a baby at 23, some of them want to fulfil their own ambitions first and by doing that - make this world a better and more beautiful place to live in. I can tell from my own experience - there is nothing better than having a strong and ambitious woman as your boss, especially if these ambitions and hard-work are mixed with absolutely amazing personality. Last week I finished a book by Sophie Amoruso called #girlboss, that gave me such a boost of inspiration. Basically, the book is dedicated to Sophia’s development as a boss and the birth and progress of Nasty Gal, but it also covers many other aspects, such as motivation, personal style and importance of accepting you as you are to find your own path in this life. That book triggered me to write this post on how to rock Boss-Lady style, inspired by the most successful women around the world.
Sexier than woman in a suit might be only two women in the suits. It instantly gives woman a class, style and confidence, that will attract all eyes around. The suit could be an alternative to fancy dress for any occasion where dress-code says ‘Black Tie’. If you are afraid to be boring in this monochrome look - play with accessories, pick some statement jewellery pieces or make a contrast accent on your lips (like Emma Watson did in a photo below).
