Crop Top & Flared Pants

If there’s one trend that’s primed to dominate this spring/summer season, it’s flared pants, as evidenced by designers like Tom Ford, Saint Laurent, and Tommy Hilfiger, all of whom sent wide-legged trousers down spring 2016 runways.

It took some time for me to find the flared pants that I absolutely fell in love with and that will flatter my body shape. This outfit is probably one of the budget-friendly ones, as everything I’m wearing here was bought in ZARA, however I think when all of these pieces are mixed together, they create a high-fashion silhouette, which is stylish and sexy at the same time.

In the past couple of months, I’ve heard from my colleagues and friends that fashion nowadays is not feminine with all of the baggy and oversized clothes occupying the runways. However, I think the term ‘feminine’ still could be applied to the newest collections, it just now translated into different type of shapes. It’s not about mini skirts and plunging necklines anymore, it’s not about showing as much skin as possible – it’s about showing less skin, but in a creative way. For example, off-should trend is probably my favourite one, I think there is nothing more feminine, than woman’s shoulders and collarbones. Same with the flared pants – skinny jeans can only be rocked by Victoria’s Secret model’s body types in order for them to look flattering, but flared pants usually make your legs look fitter and longer at the same time.

What do you think about recent designer collections? Do you also think that trendy pieces are far from being described as ‘feminine’? Share your opinion in the comments section below 🙂
