The Picnic Print You’ll Wear All Summer

According to Pinterest, searches for gingham outfits have spiked by 100% year on year, and I’m not remotely surprised, as this tablecloth check print has captured everyone’s imaginations this summer. Even though this print is recommended to be worn as a statement piece, I went further and decided to pair gingham top with gingham pants. Because, why not?

While the fabric looks very much at home on a beach, with a straw basket and some cat eye sunglasses, the print is still very wearable in the city when you choose the accessories that don’t put emphasis on it’s picnic-ish vibes. For my almost total-gingham look, I’ve chosen the minimalistic bag by ‘Complet’ – a print focused accessories brand designed in Tel Aviv and made in Italy. The brand prides itself on using high-quality Italian leathers produced by artisans in Northern Italy. I went for their almost – classic bag, called ‘Vallery Mini’ that also comes in many bright colours and in black. It’s envelope shape and round handle makes the Vallery a perfect city bag and a great addition to any minimalistic evening look (I can imagine wearing it with the maxi white jumpsuit with wide legs and a halter neck).
