London Fashion Week Day 3

Late is better than never (blushing). Finally, I’ve edited all of the streetstyle photos from LFW Day 3 and they all look sick. Comparing to the day 1, on 3rd day we’ve seen so much more crazy and freakish outfits. We didn’t have many presentations and shows that day, but most of them were from the very young British designers, so it was really interesting to see newcomers and guess who would be the next big fashion label.

Shows

Georgia Hardinge SS16

The first presentation we’ve attended was Georgia Hardinge. This collection was based on Hardinge’s reputation for creating intricate sculptural details and mixing it with romantic silhouettes, and I have to say, the results were stunning. This collection featured lots of intricate pleating, laser cut detailing and Japanese stencilling.  The palette of the collection was inspired by 70s, bringing togethe r bright yellow, muted ivory and a burnt orange.  As much as I loved the collection itself,  the setting should be mentioned as well. The catwalk show also incorporated a corridor with floor to ceiling all white post-it notes. On the floor were rows of fans, ensuring that whilst the models walked, the post-its were a-flutter, creating an atmospheric backdrop for the show.

Miuniku SS16

The next presentation we saw was Miuniku’s ‘Before The Digital Age’ collection. The collection consisted of minimalistic pieces with clean lines and structured details whilst this was disrupted by graphic details. The set featured hologram details that reminded us about cassettes and CD discs. In overall, I liked the collection and spotted couple of items that I would happily wear in the future (especially black split skirt and white coat).

Danielle Romeril SS16

One of our last stops that day was the collection of this NEWGEN designer, Danielle Romeril. The S/S collection featured palm prints and it looks like it will be one of the key trends next spring, unexpected textures and shapes. Layering was one of the main elements of the collection, sleeves and hemlines in this collection brought the feeling of heavy layering even when model was wearing just one piece. Patterns were easily mixed together creating an interesting visual effect.
