To say the least – I was very disappointed with December LF box. Those, who read all of my reviews on LF boxes know what a fan I was and how many compliments and kind words I said about these little black boxes. I was expecting to receive something special in December, as it is a very important month because of an upcoming holidays and festive mood, that is absolutely everywhere, in return I received very mediocre box, the weakest in terms of the brands selection and my personal interest.

1. Macadamia Healing Oil Infused comb -Full Size RRP £6.00
This comb with infused macadamia oil promises to nourish and detangle hair, while adding shine and smoothness. Macadamia Natural oil comes from South Pacific and is becoming very popular for its amazing effect on hair. This was the second product I tried by Macadamia Oil brand, the one that I would definitely recommend is their well-known hair mask that really does wonders with hair. I can’t say the same about this comb, cause I honestly didn’t notice any difference after using it, maybe mine is lacking the real oil, or I should have brushed my hair for 20 minutes or more – don’t know, but for me it’s ok. Unfortunately, can’t say more.
2. Bourjois Intense Smoky Palette – Full Size RRP £7.99
Bold smokey eyes are my favourite during colder months of the year. This Bourjois palette will help you to achieve really dark finish and a hint of shimmering purple will make it more interesting and mysterious at the same time. Being a fan of well-known Naked palettes, I still did find these eyeshadows really pigmented. However, I would recommend to use professional brush, as the one that is already given is not quite good for blending.
3. Pure Gold Collagen – Full Size 50ml RRP £3.59
Pure Gold Collagen is a liquid food supplement that improves the skin’s appearance by working from within, penetrating to the deep layers of skin. I didn’t see the point in sending one bottle, as you can’t really notice any results after just one bottle, as the whole idea is to have a course of 10 bottles to see the real difference.
4. Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil – Deluxe Size 15ml
This concentrated rose hip oil activates skin’s natural reparative ability with potent antioxidants and essential fatty acids to reveal skin’s youthful state – bright, resilient and radiant. What I liked the most about this product is that it’s not too oily and has a neutral scent. I noticed that it nourishes skin very good and after a very windy weather in Manchester – it made my dried out skin very smooth and glowing. For those, who don’t like to put oil on their skin – just mix it with your night cream.
5. Murad Essential-C Cleanser – Sample Size 45ml
I was really excited to see that brand in my box, as I never tried anything from their product range and I read some decent reviews on everything they make. This cleanser removes impurities, restores moisture and prepares skin for repair. It contains Vitamins A, C and E which are powerful antioxidants, Sodium PCA that will make your skin look soft and youthful, and Allantoin which moisturises the skin, making the appearance look healthier. The cleanser has a very pleasant scent with citrus notes in it, when you use it in the morning the smell actually wakes you up a bit. I would recommend to use the cleanser in the morning as it helps to prepare the skin for a make-up.
6. Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel – Sample Size 15ml.
This peel has won the Harper’s Bazaar Best Peel in the past and is formulated to brighten and promote skin cell renewal. It contains Milk Protein, Vitamin E and Marina algae to protect and moisturise the skin. I loved this peel so much, that I already bought a full-size tube not even waiting until I finish this deluxe sample. This is one of the best facial mask I used so far, when the skin is tired or when I didn’t have enough of sleep (which is my common problem), I just leave it on my face for 10-15 minutes and, BOOM, magic, it’s fresh and clean. Just using it once or twice a week can bring you visible results really quickly, all the awards that were given to this product are well-deserved. Highly recommended.
7. Lord&Berry H2OHHH! Lip Gloss – Sample Size
I am not a huge fan of lip glosses, but I love the finish of this one. Even though it promises the 3D shine (when I was a child, I thought it is only visible in 3D glasses, just like 3D movies), it actually gives you ‘just-kissed lips’ look. I think I will be using it more as a lip tint, than as an actual lip gloss.
