Polka Dots Everywhere
Marc Jacobs said it: “There is never a wrong time for a polka dot”. And how can you blame him? Polka dots are a timeless classic that I always enjoy seeing on the runway in their many changes of style. Probably it’s because dots take me back to 50s elegance, to the curvy pin-ups and unforgettable style icons like Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe. Or because I just love their playful, childish vibe.
This is surely the print of the season and prepare yourself to see it everywhere and on everyone this Spring and Summer. I personally loved the polka dot look that was offered by maison Jacquemus that presented an edgy way to approach beach-bound key pieces. With irregular smatterings of dots, a supersized straw sunhat, and barely-there sandals this is the 2018-way to hit the sun lounger.
