Winter hasn’t kicked in yet and most of us are still enjoying training or running outside in relatively mild conditions. When it does come (and it will) you need to be ready to face the elements with a winter- ready workout wardrobe that can still help you perform despite the harsh conditions. Gone are the days where you’d have to go outside in a big old jumper to train or banish your workout to the treadmill or a warm gym. Technology has moved on in activewear and with the right kit you can continue your workout outside once the temperature dips.
I’m more than excited to go to my hometown Riga in January and I already planning to go skiing with my friends, so new Sweaty Betty base layers collection was launched just in time. The prints of their base layers are stunning, these pretty co-ords can be worn as base layers (obviously) and some people even wear them as pajamas. Interesting fact: I’ve noticed that these leggings actually make my legs look slimmer, which rarely happens with anything printed.
These jaquard–patterened base layers are crafted from a clever fabric that’s quick-drying and wicks moisture away from the body – resulting in a comfortable fit whatever the weather conditions.
I believe this could also be a great Christmas gift for someone who loves winter sports and working out outdoors during colder months.
Here are my top picks from the collection:
