Love Lula Beauty Box / November 2014

Every month it’s a pleasure for me to receive these boxes filled with natural and organic beauty treats. This month was not an exception, I subscribed for Love Lula Boxes 6 months ago they never let me down. What I noticed is that now they tend to send you more full-size products and less sample-sized ones. One of the must-haves I buy on a regular basis because of Lulu, is the magical Jane Iredale BB-cream, which is absolutely everything to me. I do recommend it to people who don’t like using foundation anymore, but still have a problem skin and need a good coverage on a daily basis – this BB cream has everything in its’ arsenal – vitamins, good range of colours, fantastic smell and it doesn’t clog your pores.

Let’s get back to our November 2014 Love Lula box. This box has a perfect selection of products that might fit your winter skincare routine. They insist that the products in their shop and the ones that they send in these beauty boxes are paraben-free and are made without animal testing. Nowadays, when selection of the products on the shelves is just overwhelming, it is always good to know that you are choosing the brands that care about environment and animals – Love Lulu gives you a hand in the world of ethically produced and truly effective products.

1. Barefoot SOS Face and Body Rescue Cream –  Travel Size 25ml. RRP £5.95

This rescue cream is a probably one of the must-haves for people with a very sensitive and dry skin. I’m not one of these, however, my skin tends to have ups and downs and sometimes, especially after long flights, I literally look like a mummy, so this cream has definitely reserved its’ place in my cosmetic bag for our next trip.

Barefoot SOS is also suitable for skin diseases such as eczema or psoriasis.

2. Jason Brightening Apricot Facial Wash and Scrub –  Full Size 113g. RRP £5.49

A gentle, soap-free foaming scrub to polish away impurities and remove Makeup leaving skin clean and comfortable. Another great full-size product, that I welcome. I don’t use scrubs every day, as it would be too much for my skin, but this one is mild enough to use on a daily basis. The scrub doesn’t have any harsh apricot scent.

3. Giovanni Deep Moisture Shampoo – Travel Size 60ml.

If shampoos could be a hobby – that would be mine for sure. I’m a huge fan of different kind of shampoos and tried a lot of brands in the past few months.

This is not the first time I get Giovanni sample, the last time I got it from Birchbox and as far as I can remember I tried it during our stay in Geneva. (I don’t like using hotels cosmetics, cause in the most of the cases the quality is just a rubbish)

The shampoo is good, I wish I can say more, but it hasn’t done anything magical with my frizzy and damaged hair, but I suppose it is perfect for people with the normal type of hair and who aren’t that cruel with their hair, as I am (evil laugh here on the background).

4. Living Nature Nourishing Hand Cream  – Full Size 50ml. RRP £16.00

This one is my the most favorite product from the box. The second hand cream I got this month, but as I decided to gave the first one I got in LF box to my mother, I’m definitely leaving that one to myself.

As I already mentioned before, usually I don’t use hand creams. Maybe it’s somehow related to one episode from my childhood, when I took my mother’s cream and then waited for 5 years for it to absorb and the feeling of stickiness was so disgusting that I never touched any hand creams in my life. They call it psycho-traumatic experience, I suppose. But life goes on, so does the technologies and new formulas of the hand creams.

I literally fell in love with Living Nature Nourishing Hand Cream. First of all, I wouldn’t call it a cream, it’s more like a lotion for your hands that absorbs in 3 seconds and doesn’t leave anything, but a great herbal smell and softness. I’m telling you my hands are softer, than newborn’s butt now.

The cream contains healing Manuka Honey and Larch Tree Extract to repair chaffed hands and give extra protection from moisture loss. And it’s a full-size, bless Love Lula Box!

5. Suti Cleansing Balm – Sample Size 4ml.

I tried Suti Balm before, but, unfortunately, its’ oily formula was too oily for my skin. But I believe it might help someone with much drier skin during these cold months.
