Under The London Sky

My love for London is eternal. I do believe in that well-known saying ‘If you are bored of London, you are bored of life’, for me this is 100% true. It’s been more than a year since we packed all our things in a small van and moved to the city of dreams. It’s been a crazy change compared to our quiet life in Manchester & Riga.

For some people London is exhausting, and the amount of events and people is almost physically intoxicating them. I’m on the opposite team; I get so much excitement, energy and motivation from its endless business. There are some times when I miss our life in Manchester, where everything was so small, cosy, friendly and so different, but then I remember how much I wanted to move, to face the bigger city with so many opportunities and challenges and I realise that I’m happy now, where I am, with who I am and nothing will ever be worth this feeling of satisfaction and emotional completeness.

I’m not saying that it’s the city where I want to raise my children and grow old, but for the present moment, it feels right to be here. But I guess it’s very common for the person who moved more than once in her lifetime, not to be scared of moving somewhere else in the future and actually get some sort of excitement from even a thought of this possibility.

Coat: I Am Studio | Trousers: Zara | Boots: River Island | Bag: Topshop | Necklace: Diamonds Factory | Jumper: H&M

In this look I tried to combine the softest shades I could find in my wardrobe. To be completely honest, I was building this look around the pair of sky-blue ankle boots from River Island and my beloved mohair jumper from H&M.
